Everywhere i go there is music. You almost cant go anywhere that doesn’t have it playing in the background. It is as if our lives are a movie and the soundtrack is already there. When I workout i listen to my workout mix, which is full of high energy, angry, or fast paced songs to motivate me. the same goes for driving ironically I try to listen to slow music because i won’t speed as much. I found myself this week making a playlist for what I would want to be my soundtrack for today through the day I leave for the Appalachian Trial, especially the day I leave. I see an underlying theme in all these songs. Maybe that’s why I feel they best fit this moment. The songs I have right now are:
- Hero – Family of the Year
- Society – Eddie Vedder
- Gypsy – Fleetwood Mac
- Colder Weather – Zac Brown Band
- Step Out – Jose Gonzales
- The Wanderer – O.A.R.
- Against the Grain – City and Color
- City – Sara Bareilles
- I Take My Chances – Mary Chapin Carpenter
- Stay Alive – Jose Gonzales
- New Hampshire – Jason Reeves
- Southern Comfort Zone – Brad Paisley
- When I’m Gone – Anna Kendrick
- Before I Go – Unwritten Law
- Awake My Soul – Mumford & Sons
- Gypsy In My Soul – Van Morrison
- Boston – Augustana
- Something’s Missing – John Mayer
- Miracle Mile – Cold War Kids
